How many Ambassador points do I save when I book at a participating hotel?
The amount of points you receive is based on the reservation value of your stay. For 3 main currencies the number of points has already been set. For all other currencies, the exchange rate equivalent to the euro is being used.

How many Ambassador points do I save when I book a car with AVIS Rent a Car?
For every car you rent at our travel partner AVIS Rent a Car you will be awarded 110 Ambassador points.

What do you mean with the reservation value of a stay?
With the reservation value of your stay we mean the original selling price of your reservation. All taxes applied to the room rate which are not included in the original selling price, all catering or banquet functions booked to the guest's room account or any other incidentals do not qualify for Ambassador points.

I've lost my Ambassador Club Membership card. How do I replace it?
Should you have lost your Ambassador Club membership card, you are able to request a new card via the ‘help’ button, after you have logged onto your personal webpage. We will block your current card number and will send you a new one with a new card number.

What are eligible rates & charges?
You save Ambassador points on all reservations made through www.goldentulip.com and all other Golden Tulip International websites, the toll free reservation numbers, reservations made through GDS and directly booked with the hotels.
Non eligible rates are:
- Airline & travel agency employee rates
- Coupons & Vouchers
- All prepaid rates (including tour operator and internet rates)
- Group rates
- Internet rates not booked on Golden Tulip official websites
- Package & specially negotiated long stay rates.

What are ineligible rates?
Ambassador points are awarded on all rates and through all channels of distribution with the exception of traditional wholesale rates booked through the Internet or through tour operators, Airline employee and/or Travel agency employee rates, coupons & vouchers, prepaid rates, group rates, bookings on 3rd party Internet sites, package rates and long stay rates unless otherwise advertised.
All taxes applied to the room rate which are not included in the original selling price, all catering or banquet functions booked to the guest's room account or any other incidentals do not qualify for Ambassador points.

After I complete a stay how long will it take before my Ambassador points are credited to my account?
We allow Golden Tulip Franchise B.V. up to 14 days from the date of your registration to credit your Ambassador Club account.

I just joined the Ambassador Club and I have booked accommodation prior to my enrolment. Can I get credit for that stay?
Ambassador points can not be saved for bookings with a arrival date prior to the date the member's application was processed and no retroactive credit can be given.

How long are my Ambassador points valid for?
Should you not register any booking at participating hotels or AVIS Rent a Car within a period of 24 months, your Ambassador Club account will be inactivated and your Ambassador points will be forfeited.

Can I buy more points?
It is not possible to buy extra Ambassador points. Ambassador points can only be saved by booking at Golden Tulip Hotels, Inns & Resorts and AVIS Rent a Car.

What is the difference between a "stay" and a "room night"?
A "stay" is defined as one or more consecutive nights at any of our participating hotels or resorts. A "room night" is defined as one paid night at any participating hotel or resort, including eligible room revenue.

How do I get credit for a booking?
You have to register all your bookings on your personal webpage on www.ambassadorclub.com. Bookings can be registered until 6 months after the departure date, with the exception of bookings with an arrival date before the date of enrolment. The points are credited onto your account latest 14 days after the registration.

How much does it cost to become an Ambassador Club member?
Ambassador Club Membership is completely free.

Can I use my Ambassador points for awards other than hotel stays?
Besides redeeming your Ambassador points for hotel stays, you are also able to choose for great gifts or order a hotel voucher. Furthermore you can also exchange your points to Frequent Flyer miles or donate your points to charity.

Can I redeem my points at the reception in a hotel?
It is not yet possible to redeem your Ambassador points at the reception desk of a participating hotel. Only via the website www.ambassadorclub.com you are able to redeem your points for hotel stays, hotel vouchers, great gifts and to donate to charity. Or exchange your Ambassador points to Frequent Flyer Miles of your favourite Frequent Flyer programme.

How do I know how many Ambassador points I have in total?
Just login onto your personal page on www.ambassadorclub.com. Here you can view your point balance and account history at any time.

How can I change my Username and Password?
You may change you Username and Password online any time. After signing in into your Ambassador Club account, go to `Your profile' where you will be able to modify your login codes.
